About the Updates
These updates correct minor performance anomalies when running under Windows
XP. In the Tray Menu Application, the update implements hot-swap capability,
allowing the EZbus to be recognized by Windows XP after the computer has fully
booted. In the Mix Librarian, the update eliminates minor screen redraw inconsistencies.
Please note that these updates are for Windows XP only.
Installation Instructions
For successful installation, please follow these instructions carefully.
Before you can overwrite your existing EZbus Tray Menu Application, you must
first turn it off. Note that you must follow the procedure outlined below to
disable the Tray Menu Application; simply hitting "Exit" in the Tray Menu App's
pop-up menu will not allow it to be overwritten.
1) Simultaneously press the CONTROL, ALT, and DELETE keys to bring up the Windows
XP Task Manager.
2) Select TASK MANAGER, then click on the tab labeled PROCESSES.
3) In the list that appears, highlight EZBUS TRAY MENU, then click END PROCESS.
The Ezbus Tray Menu Application is now disabled, and can be replaced with the
new version.
4) Copy the newly downloaded Tray Menu App and Mix Librarian files to the folder:
C: \ Program Files \ Event \ Ezbus
5) Make a shortcut of the EZbus Tray Menu Application by right-clicking on the
file. Copy the shortcut to the folder C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users
\ Start Menu \ Programs \ Startup.
6) Reboot the computer. After it has fully booted, connect the EZbus to it via
USB and apply power to the EZbus. When Windows recognizes the Ezbus, the EZbus
icon will appear in the Windows XP System Tray.
