Setting up Cubase VST/Nuendo to use the EZbus as a Software Control
Surface
Windows Millennium and Windows XP users have the ability to send/receive MIDI information via the EZbus/computer USB port. Other operating system (Win 98 SE, Win 2000) users will need an additional MIDI interface installed and configured within VST/Nuendo to send/receive MIDI data to and from EZbus.
Step One
Depress the Audio/Virtual button on the EZbus so the LED is unlit.
Step Two
Click on the "EZ" icon located within your Windows System Tray. Scroll
up and select Profile Editor.
StepThree
Once the
editor is open, go to FILE > OPEN. Look in: C:\PROGRAM FILES\EVENT\EZBUS\PROFILES.
Select the profile labeled: Cubase_Etc_ControlSurface (*.ebs file).

Step Four
Once the profile is opened within the editor, click the yellow download
button to update the EZbus firmware with the VST/Nuendo Control Surface Profile.
This is accomplished via the USB connection.

To set the EZbus as the VST/Nuendo MIDI device.
Within VST go to: Options > MIDI Setup > System. Select EZbus
as the MIDI Input device, the Mapped To device, and the Input
From device, as shown in the picture below.

Now go to Options > Remote Setup > Setup. Select Generic
Remote. Then select EZbus as the Input and Output device.
Click OK.

Within Nuendo go to Devices > Device Setup. Click the tab
