Setting up Cubase for
use with the EZbus as a USB Audio Interface
Mac OS up to 9.2
Go to your Control Panel and launch Sound Manager. Go to the Input Tab and select Line In.
Launch Cubase, and go to Options > Audio Setup > System.

Click on Launch under ASIO Device Control Panel

Under Sound Input Options, check to see that USB Audio is your selected device and Line In is your Source.

Setting up Cubase VST/Nuendo to use the EZbus as a Software Control
Surface
Current Macintosh Operating Systems do not support MIDI via USB. To use
the EZbus control surface functions, you need to set the EZbus USB Configuration
(found in the EZbus System menu) to "Audio Only," and connect the EZbus MIDI
2 Output to a Macintosh MIDI interface. MIDI via USB is set to be implemented
in the next release of the Apple Mac OS.

Setting Up Nuendo to use the EZbus as a software control surface
Within Nuendo go to Devices > Device Setup. Click the tab labeled
Add/Remove. Select Generic Remote and click ADD.

Select the tab labeled: Setup. Highlight Generic Remote and then
click the button labeled: Import. Browse the EZbus CD
ROM and select the folder labeled Cubase_Nuendo. Import the *.xml file
labeled: NuendoGenericRemote.xml.

Now that you have
the NuendoGenericRemote.xml file imported, connect the EZbus MIDI 2 Output to your Macintosh MIDI interface
and select your MIDI input and MIDI output within Nuendo.

Download NuendoGenericRemote.xml
In addition to the transport controls (Start, Stop, Play, Rewind,
Fast Forward, Record), most of the functions within the VST/Nuendo Channel Mixer
can be controlled from the EZbus front panel.
To view the Channel Mixer within VST go to Panels > VST Channel Mixer.
To view the Channel Mixer within Nuendo go to Devices > VST Mixer.
Consult the chart below to view the default VST/Nuendo Control Surface
mapping.
